Ahead of Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios has dropped the new trailer for its upcoming series Echo. Alaqua Cox plays Maya Lopez, a.k.a. Echo, and she has a strong paternal link to the show’s villain Kingpin played by Vincent D’Onofrio. His MCU debut in Hawkeye after the Netflix series Daredevil opened the corridor for more appearances and fans are excited to see him on the trailer more than ever. Fans commented on the trailer on YouTube.

“This isn’t PG-13 like other movies/TV shows. This looks better than I expected,” one fan wrote. Another hailed the local story, “No multiverse, no global threats.  A local story of the badass characters is something Marvel has been missing for a long time.”

The excitement from the fans reveals the need for a simple local story devoid of extreme superpower but rather to be rooted in simplicity. “Someone at Marvel definitely saved this show. Those entire re-writes in the last few months I guarantee were 100 percent needed,” another expressed.

Also, Echo enhanced the hype for the MCU’s very own Daredevil show. “The direction and maturity of this gives me hope Disney may actually do the Daredevil show justice after taking over from Netflix More of this please!” another wrote.

Most importantly D’Onofrio’s return is interesting on many grounds, “Vincent as kingpin is one of my favorite marvel casting ever. Period. Dude is a legit beast,” one wrote. The actor has already been confirmed for the upcoming Daredevil and it will be fun to see what he brings to the table.

D’Onofrio’s Fisk in Hawkeye has established the premise of his MCU return. Earlier, speaking with EW, the actor opened up on playing the character. “It’s a tough character to play in that it’s based on a lot of his pain from his childhood,” he said.

“Once I reconnected to the way I played him [on Daredevil], what the events in his life were, and attached myself to the emotional aspects of the character, then it was fine, I was good to go. I know that we were picking up with the same guy.”

But Cox’s Maya Lopez did not walk the line with Clint Barton in Hawkeye as she believed Barton killed her crime lord father. Of course, she learned the truth later that he actually planned on killing Barton. Kingpin and Maya’s relationship will definitely take a dark turn as the trailer shows him at Maya’s gunpoint emphasizing her confrontation with her father.

All the episodes of the five-episode show will be available to stream on November 10 on Disney+ and Hulu.
