Hugh Jackman is gearing up as Wolverine once again to star alongside Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, and fans are happy for more than one reason. Besides the fact that he would once again bring their beloved character back after his tragic fate in Logan, fans also can’t wait for the movie because Jackman’s Logan would finally be wearing his iconic costume from the comics.

Talking about costume, Jackman recently faced some brutal trolling during the premiere of this very soon-to-be-released movie of his. This happened when a fan recreated an iconic scene from 2000’s X-Men, viciously roasting him for the past uncool costume he sported as the mutant. And now fans are saying this roast should have made its way into the upcoming Deadpool installment.

Fan Trolls Hugh Jackman Over His Old Wolverine Costume

As fans must remember, there was a particular scene in X-Men (2000) where Logan, Jean, Cyclops, and Storm were seen buckling themselves up while preparing to take the fight to Magneto, who had captured Rogue for her powers. During this scene, Hugh Jackman‘s Logan can be seen struggling in the black leather suit all four of them were dressed in.

Raising his voice against the same, Logan asks, “You actually go outside in these things?” To this, James Marsden‘s Cyclops brutally trolls him, reiterating sarcastically with the question, “Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?” Needless to say, this was a clever jab at the costumes both these mutants sported in the comics and the animated series.

Recently, a fan named Alex, who seems to be a massive Scott Summers fan, dressing up as him and all, decided to recreate this very scene with Jackman. However, instead of playing along the same lines, he took a more sarcastic jab this time than Marsden did in the movie. This is because he roasted the costume Jackman sported in the 2000 movie.

As he shared via his Instagram handle @nott_summers_cosplay, this happened during the upcoming Deadpool installment’s premiere, where he was casually sporting Scott Summer’s costume from the comics. As for his conversation with Jackman, it played as follows:

Jackman: You actually go outside wearing that?

Alex: What would you expect, black leather?

Hilariously enough, the fan cooked Jackman over the uncool costume he had to sport in the original X-Men film from 2000 even more cleverly than perhaps how Ryan Reynolds has been doing all along. That said, fans find it so ingenious that they wish this line made its way into the upcoming D&W.

Fans React to This X-Men Troll Scene Coming Full-Circle

Undeniably enough, with the fan putting it out like that, that particular Scott-Logan scene from the 2000 movie has come a full circle, and fans couldn’t be more excited about it. Taking to the comment section of the Instagram post, here’s how they’re reacting to it all:

The circle is now complete” ~ @konakris

“THEY DID THE THING!!!!!” ~ @wannabe_cap

“Perfect 10 out of 10!!!!” ~ @samuraison_cauley

“This was perfect omg 😂” ~ @stefania_sassano

“This line should’ve been in Deadpool and Wolverine, not X-men 97” ~ @abercrombie_archives

“This is class!!!” ~ @winchester_24601

As iconic as the recreation of this one particular scene was, it sounds like Reynolds has now got competition on how he trolls Jackman over his iconic mutant. That said, it would be interesting to see how the Deadpool portrayer tops that!
