Helldivers 2 is a sci-fi third-person shooter game set in the middle of a massive galactic war. But this game is also a co-op experience. Most players that are currently playing this game are playing it with a friend or family member. In fact, it’s more fun when played with someone; the world of this game just feels more crowded with real people.

But due to an unusual twist of fate that can only happen to a bunch of gamers, a developer had to intervene to make them stop fighting each other. This happened because a bunch of players decided to start attacking their fellow players who had equipped a specific kind of blue armor. This situation has gotten so bad that it is reportedly threatening the peace between Helldivers.

It’s an incredible game; it offers players a massive arsenal to choose from. It gives them numerous enemies to fight against. They go around the galaxy, eliminating all the threats to the universe and liberating planets.

The central aspect of all these liberations is always the cooperative mode. The more players work together to free a planet from enemy sources, the faster it becomes a success. But gamers are not doing what they were supposed to; instead, they have found a reason to hate each other.

The problem is the blue-colored TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand armor; it is basically a perk offered as a pre-order bonus for Helldivers 2. Fans might know that Helldivers 2 does not have much customization; hence, having different-colored armor works wonders.

While some are flaunting these funky armors, others are not having them at all. They started intentionally targeting the blue-armored players and killing them—yes, even their teammates. It is being said that these actions are basically motivated by their jealousy. This has led to victims vocally showing their frustration about being punished for just showing early support for Helldivers 2.

This issue was brought to the attention of the game’s developers. They decided to take matters into their own hands and try to calm down all the shooters. They sent out a message suggesting how the people in blue armor are nothing but their brothers, fitting well with the game’s narrative where everyone’s part of a huge army.

It has come to the attention of Super Earth High Command that official SUMY Corporation Frozen Yoghurt salesmen have been deliberately targeted while on the battlefield.

This man is your friend! He fights for your freedom, librrrrrty, and frosty treats!

It is an interesting message without a doubt; they once again took their tongue-in-cheek humor and ran with it here.

It remains to be seen if this message will affect those gamers at all. This seems like a serious issue of people just being mean for no reason other than jealousy.

All the while, this game keeps on growing

While dealing with all the nuisance that players often cause, developer Arrowhead Game Studios is also making sure this game remains as fun to play as it has been till now. Its gameplay remains engaging, and for the most part, its community has remained in harmony.

While this armor issue might take a while to get solved, one thing is for sure: the developers will keep updating it. Maybe they would bring back a much-loved feature from the first game that fans cannot let go of. It was basically a cape spin, it allowed players to spin their character in-game and its cape flew in the air.
