The latest trailer for the fourth My Hero Academia movie, called “You’re Next“, has just been released. The trailer looks absolutely incredible, with vibrant colors, stunning visuals, and impressive artistic design. It introduces the movie’s new villain, a dangerous character known as Dark Might.
The trailer, which was shared on Toho Animation’s YouTube channel, gives us a glimpse of Dark Might’s criminal organization, as well as some of the fan-favorite heroes like Endeavor and the students of Class 1-A, including Ochaco, Bakugo, Todoroki, and of course, the main protagonist Deku.
A New Villain Threatens the Heroes in the Latest My Hero Academia Movie Trailer
When the trailer opens up, it seems like we’re hearing the familiar voice of our Hero All Might. However, it quickly becomes clear that this is someone else. Later, it turns out that he is none other than the antagonist of the movie, Dark Might.

As the trailer proceeds, we see all of the beloved heroes facing off against a villain. This is when we see Dark Might’s powers are on full display, and they surprisingly seem to resemble the incredible strength of One for All that our Hero, All Might possesses.
The trailer ends with the new villain Dark Might delivering a line: “Dark Might, Atarashi socho no nasa” – which roughly translates to “the zeal of a new leader, Dark Might.” This was when many fans started speculating that the star of the story, All Might may not actually be a part of this new My Hero Academia film.
Given that the voice actor for Dark Might is the same one who voiced All Might, it seems likely that All Might won’t be involved in the movie.
How Fans Have Reacted To New My Hero Academia Movie Trailer
Fans have mixed feelings about the new trailer of My Hero Academia movie. Many of them are saying that the second film of the franchise was on a whole new level compared to the rest of the movies.
There could be worries that this latest film from My Hero Academia might seem generic as well and there could not be anything new to see.
The 2nd movie was amazing but the 3rd failed to capture me and this seems generic too.

Another movie and trailer so generic, that it literally isn't canon, because the pro heroes are there, and all the quality went there, how can you ruin it🤦🏻♂️

The selection of “Dark Might“ for the villain’s name has also received some negativity, with a few viewers considering it somewhat clichéd.
One more concern that fans have is that the release of this movie could affect the quality of the upcoming My Hero Academia Season 7. This is because people think that making this film will take away animation resources from the main show.
