Elijah Wood Criticizes Hollywood for the Misuse of CGI

Elijah Wood is a very famous individual in the Hollywood industry, most popularly known for his role as Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings movie series. Apart from being an actor, Wood also partakes in film production and has quite a reputation built up in the community. Following a shocking announcement made by Magic City Films, most of Hollywood and its actors were enraged by their actions. The production house was trying to bring back the deceased actor, James Dean, into a war movie, Finding Jack, using CGI. Many actors and other celebrities spoke against this matter.

Chris Evans tweeted,

“This is awful. Maybe we can get a computer to paint us a new Picasso. Or write a couple of new John Lennon tunes. The complete lack of understanding here is shameful.”

Elijah Wood echoed Evans’ criticism by tweeting, “NOPE. This shouldn’t be a thing”. Wood was also one of the many who strongly opposed it, also taking on Twitter to share his views against it. He furthermore pulsated Chris Evans’ tweet on this matter and supported his views. It was not only a few celebrities, the whole of social media was in an uproar when this news surfaced, as almost each and everyone one of them opposed this bizarre movie script.

James Dean’s exceptional career was eminently cut short due to his untimely death, but the effect he had on the industry was massive. The sheer number of people who were motivated and influenced by his way of life is uncountable, and the actor was loved by both men and women alike. Unfortunately, the superstar had a very short Hollywood career and could only prominently star in three movies, East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause, and Giant, of which he only witnessed the premiere of one movie in his lifetime, East of Eden. 

Later on, James Dean would go on to win an Oscar nomination posthumously in the 28th and 29th Academy Awards for East of Eden and Giant.
