The Undertaker Talks About His WWE Comeback

The former three-time World Heavyweight Champion concluded his wrestling career back in 2020 after he defeated AJ Styles in WrestleMania 36 in a Boneyard Match. Disappointment followed his victory, as he decided to retire and quit wrestling for good. However, during a recent Patreon exclusive Q&A session, The Deadman shared how he considered making a comeback.

He said,

It’s still tough for me. I’m still coming to grips with it. I may or may not have said to my wife recently that I was going to make a comeback. Fortunately, I think I’ve talked myself out of that.”

The wrestler teased the fans, acknowledging how he discussed his dream match with his wife, Michelle McCool, and joked how one legend could have brought him back. He said,

I mean if Sting hadn’t retired, maybe. He ruined the whole thing. I got new knees and he went and had to go and retire… Oh my gosh, we’re going to get so much heat for that.

He would have returned for the dream match, because for ages fans had longed for a showdown between the two legends. However, The Undertaker retiring from the sport ruined it all, as they could never meet face-to-face inside the ring. It is still possible, however, for WWE to bring back the two GOATs for one dream match in the near future.

WrestleMania XL can be streamed on Peacock on April 6, 2024, and April 7, 2024.
