Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth installment in the Thor franchise and is shaping up to be the biggest too. There have been countless Thor: Love And Thunder plot predictions and rumors flying around about the plot and outcome of the film, but with the release only a short time away, I decided to have my hand in the action as well. Here are my Thor: Love And Thunder plot predictions…

Thor: Love And Thunder Plot Predictions

My prediction starts with the official trailer for the film. In it, Korg is seen narrating the events of the trailer to a group of presumably young Asgardians, but there’s something “off” about the way he’s narrating it. The full transcript is as follows:

“Kids, get the popcorn out. Let me tell you the story of the space viking, Thor Odinson. He was no ordinary man. He was a god…After saving planet Earth for the 500th time, Thor set off on a new journey. He got in shape. He went from dad bod to god bod. And after all that… He reclaimed his title… as the one and only Thor. Oh, spoke too soon.”

Did you catch it? Korg is speaking of Thor in the PAST tense, which would be odd if Thor is alive. Are you wondering if I am implying Thor dies in this film?  I am.

The End of Thor?

As we’ve seen from the trailers, Thor is on a journey of redemption, finally coming to terms with himself after his losing battle with Thanos. We all know by now that Natalie Portman will be returning to play Jane Foster, one that is now destined to wield Mjolnir. Furthermore, Christian Bale is taking on the role of Gorr the God Butcher, a character that is infamous for murdering gods.

With Gorr being the main villain most fans are already expecting some gods to die in the film, but could our beloved Thor be one of them? I think so. I believe that in a final stand-off between Gorr, Thor, and Jane, Thor will ultimately sacrifice his life in exchange for Jane’s. The reasoning behind this would be, to one, go out like a hero, like his friends before him, but also to be immortalized as one of the greatest gods who ever lived, and as we all know, Thor has a bit of an ego issue. This would then leave the mantle of Thor open, which would undoubtedly be filled by Jane Foster’s Thor, now with Mjolnir on her side.

The Journey of Korg

So where does that leave the world’s friendliest rock, Korg? Well, that’s where things get interesting. Do you remember the promotional ad for Free Guy that included both Korg and Deadpool? If not, here it is for reference:

I predict after the death of his best friend Thor, Korg will journey to find a new best friend. Who could that best friend be? The one and only, the merc with a mouth. Deadpool is a character that fans have longed to see in the MCU and a post-credit scene for Thor: Love and Thunder might be the perfect time to do it. Imagine this. The film ends with Lady Thor becoming the queen of New Asgard, and Korg leaving on his journey after telling one last campfire story to the Asgardian children (the one from the trailer), the story of Thor. The screen then fades to black and the credits roll, but the credits are interrupted by dialogue. This dialogue would be of Deadpool running into Korg, which leads to them becoming pals, as they are both looking for someone to accompany them. Korg would then crack a corny joke or two before Deadpool exclaims that they’ll be perfect together. To further this prediction, Korg also has a love for video games, a trait Deadpool is famous for.

What do you think of these Thor: Love And Thunder plot predictions? Is it possible? Is it something you’d like to see? If so, make sure to let us know!
