Palworld, the Pokemon-like open-world survival game, has taken the gaming world by storm and is dominating the Steam and Xbox Game Pass charts. Given how the game has proved to be better than the last few previous Pokemon titles, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will soon need to make some announcements on their next projects.

While both companies have been really quiet ever since Scarlet & Violet and its DLC expansions were launched, the last two Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch may have just been leaked, and they are said to be the remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver.

The leaks come from an anonymous user on 4chan, who shared the logos for the rumored next and last mainline games in the Pokemon franchise for the Nintendo Switch. The leaker claimed that the games would be remakes of Gold and Silver and direct sequels to the Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee titles that were remakes of the 1998 Game Boy title Pokemon Yellow.

Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee were released in 2018 and were developed to cater to a more casual audience of the franchise as well as veterans. The titles have been highly successful and feature local co-op support, motion-controlled Pokeballs, and more exciting features.

The titles received mostly positive reviews from players and critics alike. The leaker added that Wooper and Togepi are the mascots for the games, and they will be called Let’s Go Wooper and Let’s Go Togepi and will allow players to visit the Kanto endgame content like in the previous game.

It is also claimed that there will be a new Pokeball plus accessory, Hisuian Galarian and Paldean forms will have in-game trades, held items will be reintroduced, and more. The gameplay is said to be the same as the first Let’s Go titles, and players will play with new opponents.

The leaker also added that Gold and Silver leaf would be able to power up Wooper and Togepi. Moreover, it is also said the games will have Pokémon-Amie mechanics, and there will be in-game rewards for transferring Pokemon from the original Let’s Go games.

Although all these things coming from the leaker sound very convincing, there are chances that this is fake, as fans think the mascots are a strange choice and the logos look fan-made. However, if these titles are indeed true, then players can expect a reveal soon.

Nintendo has been holding the Nintendo Direct showcase in February for the last three years, and it is rumored that another Direct is coming this month, so if there are any Let’s Go games planned, they might be announced at the event. Moreover, February 27 is Pokemon Day, and the games could be revealed at that event as well.
