The team behind the new Dragon Ball Daima anime, including directors and writers, has been revealed in Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine.
The project was announced at this year’s New York Comic Con. The anime generated a lot of excitement as it’s been a while since new Dragon Ball anime content was released.
The show has brought in talented and experienced individuals to lead it. Under the guidance of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, the anime is expected to carry on the legacy of the franchise in the best way possible.
The Core Staff of the Upcoming Dragon Ball DAIMA Anime
The core staff of the anime was disclosed in the January 2024 issue of V-Jump (released in November 2023), thanks to X user, @SupaChronicles, giving fans a look at the news.

The new series will have two experienced directors, Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki. Yashima also worked on Dragon Ball Super and other popular shows like One Piece, Digimon, and Fist Of The North Star.
Komaki, the assistant director for One Piece Film: RED, will also be directing. Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, known for Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Black Clover, will handle character design. Yuuko Kakihara, an experienced screenwriter with Toei Animation, will write the script.
Toei Animation, known for classics like Dragon Ball, One Piece, Slam Dunk, Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Digimon, has chosen top talents for this project. This includes people who’ve worked on their biggest anime.
Fans can be excited as Akira Toriyama is also heavily involved. Though some may have wanted a new Dragon Ball Super season, Dragon Ball Daima has the potential to be a top anime in 2024 with this skilled team.
A Blend of Cute Characters and Powerful Battles in Dragon Ball DAIMA
Dragon Ball Daima is different from earlier versions. It has a new story not from existing manga. Goku and the Z-Fighters are on a grand adventure to become adults again, facing unexpected challenges. The creator, Akira Toriyama, said it’s intense and mysterious.
It will be on-air in Fall 2024. Dragon Ball Daima is after Kid Buu but before Beerus and Whis. This is a new part of the Dragon Ball universe.
