One of the facts that JJK fans often overlook is that Toji Fushiguro is the one who changed the course of the story. Toji Fushiguro Is The Reason Behind Plot Change
The Shibuya Incident arc is one of the most critical phases in the Jujutsu Kaisen since it changed the future of anime and manga. The reason behind this arc and the changed future is none other than Toji Fushiguro. Even though he had little screen time, he changed the future plot within that limited time.
Satoru Gojo and Suguro Geto were best friends during their Jujutsu High days, but their ideals differed. With Limitless and Six Eyes, Gojo thought himself the strongest and did not care about the weak and people with no cursed energy. On the other hand, Suguru Geto believed that it was the duty of the Jujutsu sorcerers to protect the vulnerable.
During the Hidden Inventory arc, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were tasked with escorting a girl named Riko Amanai to Lord Tengen since she was a Plasma Vessel. But during their journey, both Gojo and Geto are attacked by her. While they were escorting her, Toji Fushiguro ambushed them. Gojo fought Toji and lost. At that point, he was weaker than his current form and could not use the Reversed Curse Technique.
Toji killed the strongest sorcerer even though he had no cursed energy. In another place, Suguro Geto asked Riko Amanai to live her life to the fullest and set her free. At that moment, Toji shot her in the head, killing her instantly. This enraged Geto, and launched his most potent curses to kill Toji. But unfortunately, he suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Toji Fushiguro.
Later, Gojo awakened his Reversed Curse Technique and Hollow Purple and found enlightenment. He came back to life, and this time, he killed Toji Fushiguro. This defeat made Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto question their ideals.

How Toji Fushiguro Made Satoru Gojo and Suguro Geto Change Their Ideals in Jujutsu Kaisen?
After suffering near death and defeats, Satoru Gojo started to believe that it was essential to save the weak. Slowly, he developed into a character on whom his students could depend. On the other hand, Suguro Geto was delusional in his beliefs. During his fight with Toji, Toji mentioned that he was born with no cursed energy but still managed to defeat him.
This made Geto question that if Riko Amanai had cursed energy, she could have protected herself and did not need him or Gojo. He got delusional and started to believe that the Jujutsu Society was a hoax and the weak had no right to be protected by the Jujutsu sorcerers. With this, he left the Jujutsu society, and then the Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0 happened.
After Gojo killed Suguro Geto, Kenjaku took over his body and started the Culling Games. It is astonishing to think that a person with no cursed energy defeated two Special Grade sorcerers and changed the future of Jujutsu Kaisen. Even though he was born in the Zen’in Clan, he was treated as trash and made to train under challenging circumstances.
Later, he left the clan and became a hitman. He fell in love with Megumi Fushiguro’s mother, took her name, and left the hitman job. But after her death, he left his son and returned to his old days and forever changed the Jujutsu Kaisen world.
