Tom Hiddleston‘s fiancé Zawe Ashton has been cast as a villain in the upcoming movie – The Marvels. And it’s been confirmed that she’ll play Dar-Benn, a general who takes control of the Kree Empire in the comics.
While preparing for her role, Ashton reveals to Entertainment Weekly that she received advice from her fiancé Tom Hiddleston, who’s known as the god of mischief, Loki. Ashton reveals:
“One of the main takeaways from our conversations was: ‘What you put into Marvel, you get back.’ He said, ‘If you go into this with an open heart and a great work ethic and just want to provide an amazing experience for the fans, you’ll have an amazing experience on those sets.’ He really empowered me in that way.”
Hiddleston also gave some practical tips to Ashton. She said:
“He also had some very good practical advice, which was: Make sure you have enough zippers to go to the bathroom in your costume,” she says laughing. “Which is very good advice, I realize now.”
However, it’s still not certain if there will be any collaboration between the real-life partners in the MCU. The pair may also be seen together during Secret Wars, and who knows, we may even see Kid Loki at some point in the MCU’s grand frame.
How did Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton First Meet?
Hiddleston and Ashton first met while costarring in the 2019 play Betrayal. Hiddleston played the complex and morally ambiguous character of Robert, while Ashton played Emma, a woman who betrays Robert and has an affair with another character named Jerry, played by Charlie Cox.
