Many agreed that the trapped hero scene in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) is the best in his Spider-Man series. For the unversed, the scene features Peter Parker, a fifteen-year-old boy who gets trapped under rubble desperately trying to get some help. Given that he had gained his superhuman abilities at the time after being bitten by a spider, he still lacked the strong resolve and willpower to transform into a true superhero. However, this scene was incredibly hard to film as he once admitted in an old interview.

He revealed,

“That was the hardest scene ever. Because to get in there, the actual set, was a mission. To get out was even scarier. We shot it three or four different times. Dude, it was so brutal shooting that scene. But that said, it is so awesome.”

Marvel Studios wanted the scene to be realistic which is why they used real debris instead of styrofoam which the actor himself admitted.

“It was real rubble. It was super heavy. Like, I couldn’t lift it myself.” He added, “It was on wires and they would just slowly lift up.”

That scene paid homage to The Amazing Spider-Man #33, where the web-slinger summons his inner strength to lift the machinery crushing him. The movie is now available on Disney+.
