“Tom just caught a stray for absolutely no reason”: The Reacher Height Chart Has Tom Cruise Fans Saying the Same Thing After The Tallest Bodybuilder’s Casting in the Show

The 'Reacher' series has cast the world's tallest bodybuilder in it, and things aren't looking too good for the former Jack Reacher Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise and Jack Reacher

SUMMARY

  • Olivier Richters, "The Dutch Giant," is cast as Paul "Paulie" Masserella in "Reacher" Season 3, and stands at 7'2".
  • Needless to say, he is even significantly taller than Alan Ritchson's 6'2" Reacher, let alone Tom Cruise's.
  • Fans humorously compared Tom Cruise's height (5'7¾") to Ritchson and Richters, making light of Cruise's much shorter stature in the Reacher franchise.

In the world of action heroes, Jack Reacher is arguably one of the most famous ones. Based on the fan-favorite crime thriller novel series by Lee Child, he has some really extreme characters in his saga, making it all the more interesting than ever before. That said, when it comes to the people who played him in live-action, there are only two names: Tom Cruise and Alan Ritchson.

While Cruise’s version of this action hero was undeniably pretty short, the six feet two inches tall towering Ritchson changed that through his embodiment of the character in the Prime Video series. However, when it comes to the height chart in this hero’s live-action franchise, then it seems that even Ritchson would look dwarfed as the series casts the world’s tallest bodybuilder in the show!

The Height Chart in Jack Reacher’s Story is Ever-increasing

Ritchson’s Reacher series is going as strong as ever, with critical acclamation as tremendous as ever. That said, for the third season of the Prime Video series, the storyline in Lee Child‘s book Persuader will be adapted. In this new scenario is a rather peculiar character, especially when it comes to his physical features.

This character is Paul “Paulie” Masserella, who is one of the burliest bodyguards of the mysterious Zachary Beck, weighing more than the protagonist himself by some figure around 200 pounds. And the latest reports from CinemaBlend have revealed just the actor cast for this role: Olivier Richters, aka “The Dutch Giant.”

While the book describes him as six inches or something taller than the six feet five inches tall protagonist of the series, Ritchers perfectly fits the description as he is around seven feet two inches tall. Not only that, but he is actually the world’s tallest actor and bodybuilder, which is, needless to say, not a joke, even for Alan Ritchson‘s Jack.

That being said, the height chart for the live-action saga of Child’s novel series seems to be ever-expanding, considering how they went from including the five foot-seven ¾ inches tall Tom Cruise in the franchise to a six foot two inches tall Ritchson, and now, to a seven foot two inches tall Ritchers, who is quite literally at least a foot taller than even the towering Ritchson.

So if even the current 41-year-old Jack portrayer in the Prime Video series looks like something of a dwarf in this reportedly newly cast actor, then Cruise would, unarguably, look like something of an elf in front of Ritchers, as even @igndotcom‘s handle couldn’t help but visually explain through a perfectly comparing image on Instagram.

While Ritchson’s height being at least a foot shorter than the newly cast Olivier Ritchers is one thing, Cruise being even shorter than that is what has him getting roasted by fans all over this post shared by @igndotcom on Instagram.

If anything, fans can’t help but point out how the fan-favorite King of Action just caught a stray for absolutely no reason. All in all, here are some of their reactions in the comment section to this gigantic height comparison between characters in Jack Reacher’s universe:

Tom just caught a stray for absolutely no reason lol” ~ @dmart2490

“Tom just got flamed for no reason 😆” ~ @alexismontalvo

“Tommy want uppies 🙇🏻‍♂️” ~ @deadbeatscott

“Tom cruise disliked this post” ~ @zakbdz

“Yall ain’t have to do Tom like that” ~ @tanner__z

“Tom out here taking strays 😭🙏” ~ @krishasija531

Well, everything else apart (including this brutally insulting height comparison), we are really looking forward to how things turn out for Ritchson’s version of the protagonist when he comes across Ritcher’s Paulie in the next season.
