Their time in the MCU is sadly over, and fans got hurt with this news. However, recently, while speaking on The Watch podcast, the author of the new Marvel book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios Joanna Robinson suggested that these past characters might return to the MCU.

As the MCU spilled over into streaming programs and the Multiverse Saga, Feige had to learn different lessons from the comics: how superheroes periodically needed to be rebooted, how to stop variants and spinoffs from spiraling out of control, how an annual mega-crossover event could unify a disparate line of characters.”

It suggests re-introducing characters like T’Challa aka Black Panther, Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.

On the other hand, Chris Evans was asked in a GQ profile, if he’d ever go back to act in a Marvel film, presumably reprising his role as Captain America. “Yeah, maybe,” Evans responded. “I’ll never say never, just because it was such a wonderful experience.

The MCU is constantly evolving, and Marvel Studios is always looking for new ways to surprise and delight fans. So, they might return, or maybe not- who knows until any official announcement appears! It all depends on the right project, the right team, and the right timing.
