Deadline reports that Miles Teller’s Rooster and Glen Powell’s Hangman might also return in the threequel. It will also be noteworthy for Paramount to establish a new protagonist in Rooster or Hangman if they want to turn Top Gun into a massive franchise.
Although Top Gun: Maverick’s success ensured that the studio would not stop after a sequel, the threequel announcement was not rushed.
