The Boys is an Amazon original series that took the world by storm when it was released back in 2019. With its morally gray and questionable characters, focus on gore and brutality – topping it off with excellent performances from the cast. Interestingly enough, there’s a connection between One Piece’s Mackenyu and Karen Fukuhara from The Boys as well that fans might not know about.

The Boys is based on the comic book of the same name and it has taken liberties when it comes to adapting the source material for streaming. That said, it has retained what truly made the comics such a blast to read. After all, the results speak for themselves in many ways.
Karen Fukuhara Has An Unexpected Connection With One Piece’s Mackenyu

Mackenyu made a name for himself for his portrayal of Zoro in the live-action adaptation of One Piece, which dropped on Netflix last year to a ton of global acclaim. He became an internet sensation almost immediately as well.
As revealed in a recent video, Karen Fukuhara unveiled to the world that she and comedian Atsuko Okatsuka grew up together during the 21st Unforgettable Gala Awards. Not just that, Karen Fukuhara further revealed that both of them also grew up with Mackenyu, as they presented him with the Global Groundbreaker for One Asia award. Okatsuka then noted how Fukuhara and Mackenyu took karate classes together, among other things.
The Boys Brought A Whole New Level Of Cool To The Superhero Genre

The Boys stars Anthony Starr as Homelander – the most complex and messed up character in the show, whose internal conflicts have given rise to the show’s best scenes. The Boys brought new life into the superhero genre – a genre that was extremely stagnant at the time because every show and movie followed the tired old tropes.
For many fans, the best part about The Boys is the fact that none of the superheroes are necessarily good people, as they are clearly not like the Justice League or The Avengers in their heroic duties whatsoever. This has led to a lot of conflicts and even death – the ideal concoction for a show.
The fourth season of The Boys was previously announced but there is still no confirmation as to when it will actually release. Amazon dropped a trailer for the fourth season back in December last year but there’s still no clarity on the matter. Nonetheless, fans will have to play the waiting game and hope Season 4 drops sooner rather than later, as they might get impatient at this rate.
