The man mostly known as a former professional footballer and more recently, Hollywood movie star, Jones is now bringing that certain charisma to the World of Tanks Franchise Holiday Ops 2024 event. It appears for this holiday season, Santa Claus has been employing some muscle to help deal with all those names on that ‘naughty list’.

What will Vinnie Jones bring to World of Tanks?

Given his tough-guy personality and previous roles cast as an enforcer, it seems completely apt that Vinnie Jones would be brought into this franchise. However, his covert role as an enforcer for Santa and ‘sorting’ out those who have made it to the ‘naughty list’ has come to an end and now he’s ready to take his position as a tank commander.

Speaking about his upcoming role, Jones had the following to say to Wargaming fans;

“You heard that correctly, I’m hanging up my candy canes for good to join the awesome World of Tanks players for Holiday Ops 2024. My days of ‘correcting’ people on the naughty list are over. I am a World of Tanks commander now, and it is going to be ‘Jingle-Bells’ all the way!”

First founded in 1998, the Wargaming strategy games have seen success over the ensuing years and promise an enthralling PvP experience for players. Not only does the game have a massive selection of historical tanks to choose from, but there are stunning graphics, amazing locales, and a rousing orchestral score.

According to the latest reviews on the Steam platform for World of Tanks, the game is still enjoying very positive reviews based on around seventy thousand reviews and with millions of players worldwide, it’s easy to see why so many players enjoy this free-to-play strategy game.

Fans of the franchise will be able to team up with Vinnie Jones in the tank garage where he will be tasking players with various quests and challenges, with of course a holiday element to them. Completing these missions will unlock a variety of rewards, such as emblems, inscriptions, decals and celebrity-themed tank skins, to name but a few.

Not only that but players of World of Tanks and World of Tanks Modern Armor can recruit the man himself into their tank crews and can experience that distinguishable gruff voice guiding them through various battle scenarios. Who wouldn’t the man who embodies tenacious enforcers across the cinema screen bark orders at them when they’re in the middle of a heated battle?

Vinnie Jones first found fame playing Football in England for teams such as Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds but is most notably remembered for his time with Wimbledon. His hot-headed temperament saw him in many a scrap on the football pitch and it was this temperament that saw Director Guy Ritchie call upon him for his feature film ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels‘.

This was followed by various Hollywood blockbusters appearances but despite this, it appears that his upcoming role will be the feather in the cap for Jones. It is obvious that now that he has conquered both the football pitch and the cinema screen, the logical choice will be to turn that talent to video games.
