While Kidpool is only rumored to appear in the 2024 movie, fans are quite excited to see the character. Not only will it have an alternate version of Wade Wilson, but it will also have Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Walker Scobell Hints At Possible Kidpool Cameo

During an interview with Extra TV, actor Walker Scobell was asked if Ryan Reynolds congratulated him upon landing the role of Percy Jackson in the famed Rick Riordan series. He replied in the affirmative and said:

He tweeted like, ‘I guess this makes me older Percy Jackson?’ I really wanted to say, ‘Does this make me younger Deadpool?’ I didn’t, but does it?

In another Twitter video, Reynolds and Scobell were seen hanging out on the set of Netflix’s The Adam Project where the young star was reciting Deadpool’s lines without holding back any of the expletives.

This could only be a random fun activity that the pair did, though the caption on the post read: “So [Ryan Reynolds] totally got [Walker Scobell] to cameo as Kidpool in Deadpool3 right?” The Green Lantern star even liked the post.

Of course, this is not an official confirmation and anything that Reynolds posts on his social media account pertaining to details about Deadpool should be taken with a grain of salt.

Regardless, it is neither impossible for Kidpool to appear in Deadpool 3 nor Scobell to land the role. As the upcoming movie is now aligned with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is only imperative that it explores the multiverse of which Kidpool is essentially a part of.

For those who aren’t familiar, Kidpool was not treated at the Weapon X lab as Reynolds’ character; he is simply a younger version of Wade Wilson from an alternate universe.

Walker Scobell Wants To Work With Ryan Reynolds Again

In another interview with Comic Book Movie, Walker Scobell responded to the question if he would reunite with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. The young lad was clearly hesitant to say anything, though he expressed interest in working again with the Blade: Trinity star. He stated:

Not that I know of, but, uh, I think I learned a lot of valuable lessons from them [talking about Ryan Reynolds and Owen Wilson] that I used while filming Percy Jackson. And, um, yeah, I’m not sure—I’m hopefully to reunite someday, but, uh, yeah, I don’t know.”

It would be much more surprising if Reynolds and Scobell wouldn’t reunite in the third movie. They’ve worked together for quite some time, and they definitely have that on-screen chemistry.
