Dan Stevens’ Legion was one show that was liked by fans in many ways. However, its end was one they weren’t so ready for. Deadpool 3 is turning out to be an action-packed multiversal flick that fans have nothing but anticipation for.
With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman not being the only returning actors, there is an uproar among fans to incorporate the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the smoothest way possible.
There are many reunions taking place in the film, including the one staring at us right in the face. None of them, however, compared to the possibility of a reunion of the Xavier family. Seeing that there is a strong possibility to see Charles Xavier in the upcoming movie, there are more in his family barring Cassandra Nova who could join the fun as well.
Dan Stevens might be the exact key for the same. After his X-Men spinoff series ended, hope was not lost. After all, Stevens is more than open to return to the franchise.
Dan Stevens Wants an X-Men Return
Dan Stevens, who was playing the titular role in FX’s Legion, opened up with Screen Rant about how there is always room for a possible return. Despite the series having ended five years ago, there is always an open door the actor looks forward to.
“It was a really fun role. I’ve never had anything like it come across my inbox, and it was such a fun gang to work with. The director of Deadpool is here tonight. I think we could maybe have a word. Do you think we should corner him and see what we can do? This is Vegas. We can sort this out.”
He elaborated on how the experience he had while working on the show was unique. No other project of his was ever as fun and interactive to work with.
Stevens admitted that he is not closed off to the idea of a possible return as Legion within the X-Men franchise. Now that it is merging with the MCU, the opportunity is not far-fetched to be considered. Especially with Deadpool 3 in the making.
Deadpool 3 Crafts the Perfect Opportunity
Deadpool & Wolverine is a room of unsolved and open mysteries. It has potential and power, enough to perhaps rewrite the MCU and give it a new path. Legion, who is the son of Charles Xavier, better known as Professor X. The strong possibility of his involvement in the third installment of Ryan Reynolds’ franchise also brings about room for Legion’s return.
Considering that Cassandra Nova is set to be the villain of the film, it is more likely than not. Having both the twin sister and the son in the same movie is a family reunion no fan knew they needed.
Dan Stevens’ keenness to return as the mutant is an invitation, if not taken into care, to be an opportunity missed. Deadpool 3 could be a reunion not just for two frenemies and the X-Men with the MCU, but also for the Xavier family.
