In one of his recent conversations, he revealed that the titular superhero’s origin story will not be part of his upcoming film, and fans are all here for it.
James Gunn Reveals Superman: Legacy Will Not Explore The Origins Of The Titular Superhero

While the public may now know that David Corenswet will be playing the role of the titular superhero, not too much more is known about the film in general.

Following this news, many people have raised their eyebrows at this decision and have surprisingly shown their support for it. Superman has been such a crucial part of pop culture and comic book culture for more than eight decades at this point everyone, young or old, knows who Clark Kent is and how he became the Symbol of Hope that we have come to know and love.
Thus, reimagining his origin story yet again would seem so repetitious that it might just become boring for the audience and, thus, create a disconnection between them and the superhero in the film.
