The upcoming Blue Beetle movie will introduce the first superhero to make its way into the newly revamped DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s legacy. While the studio is still making final arrangements before finally leaving the DCEU behind, it seems the current project receives a lack of support and promotion.

The ongoing strike in Hollywood is also a huge factor in this low marketing strategy. Paired with a new storyline and an unknown hero who will make his debut, Blue Beetle needs more rigorous publicity. Thankfully, some famous filmmakers formerly worked with DC projects to help hype up the film.

The walls of DC Studios have seen a lot of trials in the past concerning certain projects and filmmakers, but it seems that everything is behind us now as we approach a new chapter. James Gunn has discussed Blue Beetle several times, and he has got nothing but positive words about it. Similarly, directors Zack Snyder and David Ayer are also enthusiastic about the new film.

Fans would be wondering what on earth is happening because, given the controversies that troubled these filmmakers in the past involving Warner Bros. Discovery, the rift would have been deeper and irreparable. This is not the case at the moment, as Snyder and Ayer both showed support for Blue Beetle, which could also strongly affect the audience’s interest in the movie.

Previously, Snyder also shared his excitement for the movie and promised to watch it with his kids. The filmmaker has remained silent over the past months concerning the new regime at DC Studios, though he maintains a cordial relationship with Gunn and Safran.

In his Twitter post, Snyder also used the hashtag #RepresentationMatters as part of the marketing strategy, as well as an acknowledgment of the first Latino live-action film from DC Studios. See his tweet below:

Despite all previous frustrations, Snyder and Ayer are ready to see Blue Beetle without any tinge of negativity. Their support for the film will definitely amplify and create more noise on social media that will ultimately reach more audiences.
