Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 8, 2023. Before the release, developers revealed that they had to do a lot of work on the narrative so that each of the characters’ actions made sense. Call of Duty is a massive gaming franchise that has several games under its banner. Their upcoming release is Modern Warfare 3, which is a reboot of the game from 2010.
The new game will have better graphics and a lot of other features. It has made the gaming community quite excited since it is one of the most anticipated videos of 2023. But before that, the game developers, Sledgehammer Games, released their statement on behalf of the game. With the statement, the fans have become more excited since it is quite a massive development for the Call of Duty franchise.
Making Call of Duty Was A Big Task For Sledgehammer
Previously, the Call of Duty franchise was developed by Infinity Ward. Modern Warfare 3 will be the first game that Sledgehammer Games has developed. Fans were mixed about the new takeover since it would be the climax of the Makarov saga. But they will be relieved to know that Sledgehammer started to work on the game at the same time that Infinity Ward started working on MW2.
One of the biggest developments of the game is that it will be the first time that the players will be able to choose their own route instead of a set linear path. Shelby Carleton, the narrative designer, said to The Guardian,
“We had to tailor the narrative to make sense with all of those different situations and have the characters still respond as themselves.”
She continued,
“So if you’re playing as Price and [teammate] Ghost is there with you, he is going to be able to support you whether you choose to go in loud or in stealth mode, and he’s going to say and do things tailored to those situations.”
It can be well understood that taking over an iconic gaming franchise requires a lot of work.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 did $1 billion in business within the first ten days. So, the pressure is on the Modern Warfare 3 team. They said that they worked hard to develop the game. Sledgehammer did not compromise the video game for money. If they wanted to shoot at a particular location they would do that, no matter what it cost.
The same goes for manpower, too. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has always been their priority. With the new system, opting for stealth mode will make all the members of Task Force 141 go for stealth action, and if they want to go terminator, the enemies will have hellfire rain upon them.
For the moment, everyone is waiting for the game to come out. They got a taste of the online mode with the recent open beta launch. Within less than a month, Call of Duty fans will have the gaming festival that they have waited for the past year.
