Jamie Lee Curtis Had To Be Wired To A Helicopter For True Lies

In the 1994 movie True Lies, Jamie Lee Curtis portrayed the role of Helen Tasker while Arnold Schwarzenegger was in the lead role of Harry Tasker. Directed by James Cameron, the movie featured some intense action scenes and some heavy stunt work.

During an iconic scene that featured Jamie Lee Curtis and a helicopter, the actress talked about how her stunt double Donna Keegan deserved all of the credit. She further stated that although her stunt double did the actual stunt, they needed a shot wherein she had to be pulled out of the limousine.

“The stunt itself, of course, was one of the most spectacular ever done, and Donna [Keegan, stunt double] deserves all of that credit, But we did need a shot of me post being pulled out of the limousine over the burning wreckage.

She further continued,

“In order to get the shot, we had to wire me to the helicopter at base camp and then fly for 20 minutes over the water to get to the 7-mile bridge where the wreckage took place.”

Looking forward to the future, the actress further revealed that she is quite excited to reunite with her dear friend Lindsay Lohan in a rumored sequel.

Back in 2003, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis starred together in a movie titled Freaky Friday. In an interview, the Everything Everywhere All At Once actress stated that she and Lindsay Lohan are open to reuniting for a Freaky Friday sequel.

“Jamie and I are both open to that, so we’re leaving it in the hands that be. We would only make something that people would absolutely adore.”

As per Good Morning America, a sequel is in the works and is in the development stage by Disney. As for the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis starrer, True Lies is available to stream on Prime Video in the U.S.
