“I was in the makeup trailer and I was eating a granola bar or something, and I was about to shoot a scene where I have to kiss Andrew. And the makeup lady was like, ‘Are there peanuts in that?’ And I was like, ‘I think. I don’t know.’ She ran away and got a producer who was a friend of mine.”

Before the scene took place, the actress had been getting her makeup done while casually eating a granola bar. What she didn’t know what that the ingredients of the bar were deadly to her co-star. Her makeup artist caught it at the right time and immediately chased the producer. He had to shut the set down because the granola bar had peanuts and the actor is extremely allergic to them.

Riley Keough Was Thankful To Her Makeup Artist

Riley Keough was heavily grateful to her makeup artist who managed to catch the ingredients of the granola bar. Had it not been for her, there would have been a massive accident that could have easily put Andrew Garfield in the hospital. She had no idea about his allergy at that time and so did not see peanuts as a problem until it was pointed out to her.

“It shouldn’t have been at craft, and I don’t know why they’re on set. It was just kind of like, ‘Oh fuck, that’s crazy.’ But also thank God that this woman caught it, because I had no idea.”

The actress did question as to why the bars were even on set if they were so harmful to their lead actor. However, she was more so glad that the accident had been avoided altogether. Even though the set had been closed off for an entire day, as long as they could prevent the accident from happening, it was okay.
