A lot has been going on in the DC Universe lately, especially since Peter Safran and James Gunn took over as CEOs of the franchise. Steps have been taken that may not align with what the fans expected in the first place. However, after a long awaited time, Gunn has finally broken the silence regarding the same.
Although a lot of steps that have been taken may be considered harsh, the co-CEO has conveyed as to how a lot of what took place was necessary. Mainly, he asked the audience to be patient and to wait as the DCU only wants to bring the best to them.

James Gunn Addresses The Fans And Explains Where The DCU Stands
James Gunn recently took to Twitter so as to address the fans. This especially was important since there have been speculatios of Henry Cavill not being a part of the franchise, Jason Momoa being recast as Lobo the antagonist along with the end of the Aquaman film series being scrapped after the sequel. Not only that, but Wonder Woman 3 has been cancelled altogether. All of this news took the audience aback and DCU in turn received a lot of backlash for it.
“But, in the end, the drawbacks of that transitional period were dwarfed by the creative possibilities & the opportunity to build upon what has worked in DC so far & to help rectify what has not.”
Gunn promises that it has only been a month since he and Safran took over and to formulate a ten-year plan for the franchise would take a long time. It cannot be rushed and to give the best of what the DCU can provide would sometimes not make the fans happy. The process of creating an entire plan is a lengthy one and decisions cannot be made hastily.
James Gunn Confirms What Of The Speculated News May Be Real Or Not
All these speculations have been reduced to mere rumors by many fans. Although now, Gunn has stepped forward to confirm which of these are true and which are not.
“So. As for the story yesterday in the Hollywood Reporter, some of it is true, some of it is half-true, some of it is not true, & some of it we haven’t decided yet whether it’s true or not.”
As of now nothing has been made sure, some of the claims seem to be true, others purely false and a few in the process of being true. However, nothing can be said as of now, all James Gunn asks from the fans is time and patience.
