This comes after she herself took to social media to thank her fans for their “overwhelming support” for what marks the end of the DC Extended Universe, and her “fans” have been coming in flocks to celebrate her all the same.

Despite getting caught up in the whirlwind of controversy after losing the defamation case against her ex-lover Johnny Depp, Amber Heard is not ready to accept defeat. And it seems she may be somewhat succeeding in her mission as can be deciphered from her “thank you” message to her “fans.”
Recently, The Rum Diary actress took to social media to extend her heartful thanks to her fans for supporting her return as Mera in the recently released sequel to Aquaman, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, even if her screen appearance as the character was barely about 20 minutes out of the 124 minutes total runtime of the movie.
Taking to her Instagram handle @amberheard, she wrote:
“After all this time, Aquaman 2 made its splash (sorry, it’s too easy) 💦 Thank you to all of my fans for the overwhelming support and love in Mera’s AQ return. Thank you so much❤️ #aquaman”

What’s actually worth noting here is the fact that Aquaman 2, which was created on a budget that is estimated to have been between $205 million and $215 million, has been able to bring in a little over its production budget: about $276 million worldwide as of this writing.
Adding to the fact that the sequel has way beyond underperformed at the box office as compared to the first installment of the film series, i.e. Aquaman, are the terribly negative reviews that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has gotten, currently standing at a mere 35% approval ratings from critics on the Tomatometer.
While the movie making its “splash” in Amber Heard‘s words doesn’t quite connect with all these above-listed facts, the actress seems blissful in her own bubble where her fans are heaping her with praises for the same.
