Tom Cruise May Be Forced To Use De-Aging In Future Mission: Impossible Movies!
While man may be able to build anything from anything, it is still no match for the events of the natural order, one of them being getting older as time passes on. Tom Cruise, who is single-handedly one of, if not the most successful and influential stars in the film industry, is also not immune to the fact that he’s riding a boat in the flow of time, and soon wouldn’t be able to maintain his youthful visage. Therefore, in the future, he may be taking the road that another Hollywood legend took with his latest film.

With the release of Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny, we saw Harrison Ford as a younger Indy in the film. While he may be 80 years old in reality, this was achieved with the technique called de-aging that brought his former self in front of today’s audience. Therefore, seeing as there are no indicators that mark the end of Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise anytime soon, the director of the latest film in the series has some ideas of how they can use this in future films on the star, who turned 61 this year. He said:
“One of the big things about [the de-aging] I was looking at while researching, I kept saying, ‘Boy, this de-aging is really good’ or ‘This de-aging is not so good.’ Never did I find myself actually following the story. In researching that, I cracked the code – I think – on how best to approach it. By then, we had kind of moved away from it. We may still play with it. We never say never.”
While the de-aging approach may be helpful for the cinematic franchise in its future endeavors, there may be some backlash from the audience, as this was also the case when they saw Ford in his latest film, where they complained and criticized the technique for various reasons.

With the release of the much-awaited seventh installment in the franchise, there is a surge of excitement amongst the fans of the series as well as the lead star of the film, and there is no stop on Cruise’s adventures in the near future. With the shooting of the second part of the film already underway, there are reports that the Top Gun star will also be shooting a film in outer space, which goes to show that the concept of old age might just be in our minds.
