Henry Cavill seems to become the top contender to be Hugh Jackman’s successor as Wolverine. The actor is popularly known for portraying Superman in Zack Snyder’s DCEU. However, his venture with the DC superhero ended last year after James Gunn took over as the new CEO of DC Studios. With his departure from the DCU, many expected Marvel Studios to approach the actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Just like it’s hard for DC fans to imagine someone else as Superman other than Henry Cavill, Marvel fans have a hard time accepting Hugh Jackman’s departure from his X-Men role, Wolverine. The Australian actor earlier announced that e would not play the character after his 2017 film Logan. But he came out of this retirement for his MCU debut with the Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.
However, it is still not confirmed if Jackman’s MCU journey will end with Deadpool 3 or if he will appear in future projects as well. Assuming this, fans have been discussing the potential actors who can succeed the X-Men star’s iconic character.

It is believed that the Logan star could appear as a Wolverine variant and most likely would not continue his MCU journey after the Deadpool threequel. It is also believed that the studio would probably cast another actor in the role of the prime Earth Wolverine. And fans seemed to have found the best actor for the part.

As much as I love Hugh Jackmans version of the Wolverine, and he decides to pass the torch, Henry Cavills version would be interesting as well, in my opinion.
