And unfortunately, in the long list of these celebrities, singer Ellie Goulding has sadly been added.
In a recent series of Stories on her Instagram handle, the music artist dropped a bomb as she declared her divorce from her now ex-husband Caspar Jopling, making it official to the public. Despite this astonishing revelation, there is no word of an explanation as to why this drastic decision was taken by the couple.
Ellie Goulding And Husband Caspar Jopling Announce Their Separation Without Providing A Reason
In another upsetting celebrity couple news, it was recently reported by many that Grammy-nominated music artist Ellie Goulding is officially separating from her husband of over four years Caspar Jopling as of February 2024, which she herself revealed through her series of stories on her Instagram in the past few days.
Through her social media, the Starry Eyed singer announced her separation from her husband and father of her son after over four years of marriage and an even longer time committed to each other. The revelation on her Instagram Story read:
“In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago. We have been successfully co-parenting with our son’s best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.”
On the other hand, her now ex-husband and successful art dealer also took to her Instagram and shared his statement with everyone, which read:
“Hi people – hope you’re having a good day. I feel (sadly) that I need to say something about mine and Ellie‘s current relationship, that I hope more than anything will make any final tabloid speculation disappear.”
Despite both individuals making clear their separation to the public, there have been no words except for rumors on why the couple decided to split from each other despite them seemingly having a loving relationship.
When Did Their Relationship Begin?
Just like a lot of other celebrity couples, both individuals met through the medium of mutual friends back in 2016, and things started to pop off for them both.
It was reported that they used to visit art galleries when they headed out for dates as they started to know each other while being shy at first. Then, as both of them got comfortable with each other, their relationship blossomed and led to their engagement in 2018, which was followed by their eventual marriage in 2019.
Around February 2021, Jopling and Goulding were blessed with a young baby boy, whom they named Arthur Ever Winter. And now, they are sadly separating for good.
