Jim Caviezel’s Sound of Freedom is engulfed by one controversial opinion after another. A movie that was first supposed to highlight important themes that shed light on the darkness in the world quickly became what many came to define as propaganda. Caviezel has worked on some iconic films including Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, The Count of Monty Cristo, and Outlander.
His range of roles is nothing short of good performances. However, it was this one movie that brought about a conflicted response. Upon its release, the film only managed to gain 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. So much so that fans were not happy, polarizing their opinions in ways where some liked the film and some did not. However, it is Amazon Prime’s release date that is bringing fans together once again, and not in a good way.
Jim Caviezel’s Sound of Freedom is Coming to Amazon Prime
Jim Caviezel’s Sound of Freedom was released with an agenda to spread awareness regarding matters as dark and realistic as that of human trafficking. The purpose of the film was to shed light on matters regarding p*dophilia and things that are a much bigger problem than many would realize.
Amazon Prime has finally given out a date as to when the film will be released on the platform. Right after Christmas, December 26th, Sound of Freedom would make its way to the streaming service for everyone to watch. Despite the news being a positive one, making a film like such to be available to the public, fans are far from happy.
Fans Share Their Dismay Regarding Sound of Freedom
Fans are divided between being able to watch the film and being willing to boycott it because of how controversial it turned out to be. Many have been speaking up against the film, talking about how it stands against what it first advertized to build awareness regarding. Fans are standing against the film, refusing to watch it at all.
