Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion are two of the most prominent names in the music industry. However, recently, the internet witnessed an interesting back-and-forth between the two following the release of Stallion’s new single, Hiss. The song allegedly takes a dig at several high-profile names, and it looks like Nicki Minaj and her husband are also included in the list.
The Queen of Rap did not stay silent and took on several social media posts to openly criticize her Hot Girl Summer collaborator. The feud escalated when Minaj announced the release of her new single, Big Foot, with a photo of Megan Thee Stallion. She did not stop there and took to another post on X (formerly Twitter) to threaten the WAP rapper with five new diss tracks.
How did Nicki Minaj threaten Megan Thee Stallion?
As soon as the fans pointed out the alleged mention of Minaj and her husband in Hiss, the Anaconda fame went on Instagram Live. When Minaj said: “Bad b*tch she like 6 foot/ I call her big foot/ the b*tch fell off/I said get up on your good foot”, it was almost certain that it was a response to the Hiss rapper.
It was an alleged dig at Tory Lanez who shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020. Although the Sweetest Pie singer focused solely on her new single, Nicki Minaj did not stop herself from venting out on her social media handles. She ranted that Megan Thee Stallion’s team even attempted to sabotage the release of her Big Foot. She threatened to release 5 new diss tracks even if the 28-year-old “BREATHE wrong.”

Surprisingly, Nicki Minaj did not want to agree that his new single Big Foot is a diss track against the Houston Hitmaker. When Pop Base referred to the new single as a diss track, the 41-year-old angrily wrote: “Who tf said “diss track”?????? don’t play tonight. Fix your tweet. “ Following that, Pop Base also corrected their tweet.

How did the feud between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion start?
The fans may think the feud commenced with the release of Megan Thee Stallion’s Hiss. However, several reports suggest that all of it started when Nicki Minaj talked about a person on Queen Radio (via XXL Magazine) who urged her to drink alcohol during pregnancy and get an abortion. When a fan implied that the person was Megan Thee Stallion, the rapper defended herself against the allegation.
Later, in 2023, when Nicki Minaj released her Red Ruby da Sleeze, it was speculated that the single was aimed at the Houston rapper. The first verse of the single refers to horses or stallions, which raised a buzz among fans. But nothing could top the fever that took over the internet when Megan Thee Stallion’s Hiss was dropped. In the new track, the Houston rapper stated: “These h*es don’t be mad at Megan, these h*es mad at Megan’s Law.”
Everyone on the Internet implied that it was targeted directly at Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty. Stallion’s verse referred to a US federal law that requires information about registered s*x offenders to be made public. Petty was found guilty of an attempted r*pe of a 16-year-old in 1994. In 2020, he was arrested in California for failing to register as a s*x offender. Although neither Minaj nor her husband was named, the Queen of Rap went on an all-out attack against Stallion.
Despite repeatedly bashing the WAP fame on social media, Minaj was not ready to accept that her latest was a diss track targeting her. Now, it will be interesting to see if the feud stops anytime soon or if it escalates to find a place in the list of the most famous high-profile feuds.
