Kelly subsequently proceeded to slam the renowned reality television figure, accusing the latter of ‘extreme plastic surgery’—which the Kardashian has previously denied—and for orchestrating most of the paparazzi photos of herself.
The journalist then dropped a bombshell allegation: that it was Kim Kardashian herself who put out her own s*x tape in 2007.

Kelly prefaced her statement by bluntly saying:
“I do not feel empathetic toward Kim Kardashian in general.”

She then proceeded to land some hard-hitting accusations, including claiming that Kim Kardashian played a part in putting out her s*x tape with singer Ray J in 2007. Following was Megyn Kelly’s statement:
“What are we celebrating? Her enormous fake a**? Her extreme plastic surgery? [laughs] No. She [has] orchestrated every single one of the photographs you’ve ever seen. There isn’t one that was organic. Every … time, the paparazzi [have] been called by her and lured to the location. Then, she shows the bottom. Then, she photoshops it. And then, she denies she has done any of that.”
She continued:
“It wasn’t enough you exploited yourself and put out your own s*x tape—we all know it—and then pretended to be a victim about it.”
Talk about harsh. Ironically enough, the comments under the podcast all appeared to be in wholehearted agreement with the statement. In fact, the accusations laid down by the journalist are often echoed across different corners of social media, with many insistent on the celebrity being behind her tape.

The claim brought forth by Kelly is a belief mirrored by several individuals across the internet. Since the intimate footage was released by Vivid Entertainment in 2007, several conversations have occurred online to suggest Kim Kardashian—who has long been accused of leaking it herself—made the tactical and intentional decision to do so to gain fame and prominence.
The Kardashian affirmed she had nothing to do with the tape getting out while appearing on Oprah’s Next Chapter in 2012. “Why would anyone put that humiliation on their family?” she had said.
However, years later, Ray J’s tell-all interview in 2022 didn’t help the socialite’s case (via Daily Mail), fueling media speculation, which persists even today. He told the outlet, “It’s always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner, Kim, and me, and we’ve always been partners since the beginning of this thing.”

Months after Ray J’s explosive revelation started making rounds across the media and the internet, Kris Jenner appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she partook in a lie detector test. Here, the show host queried, “Did you help Kim release her s*x tape?” Jenner replied, “No.” The individual administering the test confirmed it as the truth.
With all the facets surrounding the controversy, speculations continue to run rabid. And as Megyn Kelly’s comments and the reactions to them most succinctly demonstrate, it doesn’t appear to stop anytime soon.
