Just like how Robert Downey Jr. is considered pretty much the real-life counterpart of his onscreen Marvel character Tony Stark, Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) is regarded as the comic-book counterpart of his onscreen portrayer, Ryan Reynolds. This is because of all the witty and sarcastic personality traits these two fan-favorites share, both onscreen as well as in real life.

However, even Wade wouldn’t have been able to deal with or have a comeback response to the roasting his real-life counterpart faced at the hands of a young fan. And as much as we hate to admit it, even Reynolds couldn’t come up with a good enough response to all the savage trolling his young fans did of him during his recent interview for IF.

Even Deadpool Wouldn’t Have a Response to This Ryan Reynolds Roast!

As has been perfectly depicted, especially in his Deadpool film series, Ryan Reynolds has the most epically witty way of responding to questions and dealing with roasting. However, during one recent interview, even he couldn’t find an accurate response as a young fan mercilessly trolled him.

This happened in an interview with ScreenCrush, where young Layla and Luna Polowy roasted him and IF co-star John Krasinski to their hearts’ content.

During the interview, the Polowy duo first confronted John Krasinski about whether he truly made the movie IF for his two daughters. When the actor agreed, he was met with an “aww” as well as a “Hey, everybody! Look what a great dad John Krasinski is!” from his young fans.

This was followed by Reynolds agreeing, who said:

Right? No kidding. My own children say that.

But little did he know that agreeing to this would pretty much land him in trouble.

This was because the question that followed was from Layla, who asked:

So, Ryan. What have you ever made for your kids? Some show about your soccer team?

Needless to say, Reynolds looked as baffled as can be expected, with the roast clearly stinging him to the core and him doing absolutely nothing to hide that expression from his face.

This was further evident from the evidently tongue-tied Wrexham AFC co-owner’s response, who said:

Wow. That is rough. I made Deadpool 1, 2, and 3 for my kids.

Well, Reynolds, sorry to say, but your R-rated superhero movie fans just may not agree with you on this one.

But that’s not all, because the Wade Wilson portrayer had a lot more roasting to deal with!

During the same interview, one more serious question was thrown at these IF co-stars: “What would you each say ‘IF’ is about in one word or less?” To this, while Krasinski responded with, “Hope,” Reynolds’ response was, “Childhood.”

Which, needless to say, earned him a bit more trolling, as Layla responded to his response as:

Well, that’s pretty vague.

Ouch, that must seriously hurt. But this time, Reynolds’ reaction was more open. Initially responding with a sarcastic ‘thanks’, he continued to say:

What are you, my mother-in-law? Do I owe this kid money? What’s going on over here?

Obviously, he meant it as a joke as well, so all was fine. But the question is: Would Deadpool’s ego be able to deal with such kind of roasting? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out!

IF is out in theatres now.
