Ryan Reynolds already owns the English football club, Wrexham A.F.C. with Rob McElhenney and also recently was a part of a consortium where they bought out 24 percent equity stakes which were owned by the French carmaker company, Renault. As a result, the Deadpool actor now owns a part of the Alpine F1 team.

Ryan Reynolds now owns some equity in the Alpine F1 team

Ryan Reynolds along with his longtime business partner, Rob McElhenney was a part of a consortium last month. According to the Mirror UK, they “bought a 24 percent stake in the team[Alpine F1 Team], owned by French carmaker Renault. They joined US investment firms Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners in making the purchase.

According to sources, it was further revealed that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney did not have to put in any of their own capital or money to be part of the deal. They were allegedly “invited to be a part of the consortium for their fame and marketing prowess.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are already the co-owners of the English football club, Wrexham A.F.C. and their fame and popularity have helped the club become a success both on and off the pitch. Wrexham A.F.C. was also recently promoted to the EFL League Two after a 15-year gap.

Dwayne Johnson’s XFL is struggling despite the action star’s massive popularity

A lot of stars have made tried to make successful ventures in the field of sports but not everyone has been as successful as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Dwayne Johnson bought a professional American football minor league, XFL a few years ago and neither the league nor the actor has not received any great benefit from the takeover as such.

According to Forbes, the XFL has lost almost $60 million this year and the future of the league ain’t looking too bright as well as the projected revenue for the next season stands at $100 million.
