While we never see Mikasa’s face as an elder, the presence of Eren’s red scarf around her neck symbolizes her ongoing love for him.
In addition, she is buried with the same white flowers as Eren had on his burial. White flowers are often associated with unmarried persons in several cultures, which may support Mikasa’s theory of being unmarried.
