Once Cruise demanded a whole hotel for himself which angered the manager of the hotel who didn’t think twice before denying to fulfill such a request to the Mission Impossible star.
The incident occurred in 2012 when it was reported that the Academy Award-nominated actor wanted the entire Forza Mare hotel for himself. Such an event was new for the actor who has often shown to have exorbitant demands.
What happened when Tom Cruise wanted a whole hotel to dine alone?
Tom Cruise is one of the most powerful names in the industry. Being one of the highest-grossing box office stars, Cruise earned quite a name and fame for himself. This also led to many incidents reflecting his insane star power besides his box office success. But sometimes, these went out of hand when the Top Gun star placed some absurd demands.
In 2012, when Tom Cruise went to the Forza Mare Hotel in Dobrun, Montenegro, the Days of Thunder star wanted the whole hotel to himself to dine alone in peace. But the situation didn’t end up right after the manager was enraged at this behavior and denied to fulfill his demands.
“Who does Mr. Cruise think he is? The hotel was full. It would have been unfair to other guests.”
This forced the Scientology devotee to dine alone in his luxury yacht. Tom Cruise ordered a seafood banquet and dined alone in peace on his luxurious Lady S. It must be noted that this behavior is an integral part of Tom Cruise from a very early age. Even after The Outsiders being his third film, Cruise wasn’t happy when he found that he had to share his Plaza Hotel room with co-star Rob Lowe.
Presently, the ex-husband of Nicole Kidman is busy with his new endeavors and if the reports are to be believed, quite unhappy over some recent happenings.
Tom Cruise is worried about the condition of his upcoming release
Tom Cruise’s last Top Gun: Maverick went massive at the box office. The movie also earned critical praise and as said by Steven Spielberg, also saved the industry after the global pandemic. But unfortunately, Cruise’s next Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One finds itself in a jam-packed summer box office situation.
Besides the seventh Mission Impossible film, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie are also slated in the tight pipeline. All three are major projects and this is bound to affect them. According to Puck, Tom Cruise is very angry at this point as Dead Reckoning Part One is expected to lose the IMAX screens after its first week due to the exclusive deal of IMAX with Oppenheimer.
Reportedly, Cruise asked the rival studios to either give up their screens or move the release dates of Oppenheimer and Barbie. This created quite a controversy as the star was subjected to backlash who called him a “bully”. Now it will be interesting to watch the position of all the new releases in this jampacked schedule.
Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One is slated to release on July 12, 2023.
