Many popular artists have been nominated at the upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards for their music. All eyes are on Taylor Swift as she can get ahead of Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, and Frank Sinatra if she wins the Album of the Year Award. As of now, Swift has 12 Grammy Awards and while this is certainly an incredible number, she is not even close to Beyonce, who currently has 32 Grammys under her belt.
Swift is yet to reach the top 10 list, in fact, she still needs to win 12 more Grammys to beat rapper Kanye West. Billie Eilish has also bagged several nominations this year and if she wins the Record of the Year Award, she will tie with legends like Paul Simon and Bruno Mars at the age of 22.
Beyonce has the most Grammy Awards
Last year, American singer-songwriter Beyonce made history after she won the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album Award for her 2022 album, Renaissance. As per Grammy.com, she officially became an artist with the most Grammy wins with 32 Grammys. Late singer Georg Solti secured the second spot with 31 Grammys while the third spot is secured by Quincy Jones with 28 Grammys.
Alison Krauss and Chick Corea have tied with 27 Grammys followed by Pierre Boulez with 26 Grammys. Vladimir Horowitz, Stevie Wonder, and John Williams earned 25 Grammys and finally, Kanye West ties with Jay-Z for 24 Grammys.
Taylor Swift could break a record this year
As for Swift, there is a lot of time until she equalizes with Beyonce but as of now, she can get ahead of legends like Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, and Frank Sinatra if she wins the Album of the Year Award. She has been nominated in seven categories and her fans are sure that she will win big this time.
Billie Eilish also aims to create history this year as she could tie with Paul Simon and Bruno Mars if she wins her third Record of the Year Award. This year, women took center stage at the Grammys, dominating nominations in major categories and it will definitely be a tough fight as all of these contenders are deserving. The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will start at 8 PM Eastern time on February 4th and will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
