Who is Eric Bauza?

Eric Bauza is somewhat of a big deal in voice acting, known for voicing famous characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes. Originally from Scarborough, Toronto, he has now become essentially an A-lister in the industry. Apart from Looney Tunes, he’s worked on a bunch of other recognizable animated shows and movies.

The 2021 film, Space Jam: A New Legacy, boasted a star-studded cast, including Zendaya, LeBron James, Michael B. Jordan, and many others. Among them, Bauza, who was also a part of the stellar cast brought Marvin the Martian alongside his signature Looney Tunes characters to life. He also lent his voice to some Puss in Boots movies. In addition to this, he has also been a part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Eric Bauza’s contributions to the animated world are truly extensive, turns out he also has been a part of Marvel, in the 2013 Iron Man: Rise of Technovore. In 2022, he even won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Performance for his work on Looney Tunes Cartoons.

These are just a few examples of his work. In the entertainment industry, his list of credits seems practically endless. Thus, Prime Video’s choice of Bauza over Ezra Miller for the role suggests they weren’t playing around when he decided to recast. However, why they made the change so discreetly remains a mystery.

Why Was Ezra Miller Recast in Invincible?

In recent years, Ezra Miller has found themselves embroiled in numerous controversies, facing backlash online for various incidents ranging from illegal substance possession to physical altercations. They were arrested in 2022 on charges of second-degree assault and were also further accused of grooming later in the year.

Additionally, Miller admitted to unlawfully trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont last year. In light of these troubles, Miller opted to undergo mental health treatment in 2022 after multiple encounters with the law. Overall, it’s been a tumultuous period for the actor. The actor provided the voice for the said Invincible character in the last three episodes of the first season.
