Manolo Vergara followed in his mother’s footsteps when it came to a career. The actor first pursued a degree in Film Production from Emerson College in Boston. Vergara graduated in 2015 and his mother Sofia Vergara and her then-fiancé Joe Manganiello attended his graduation ceremony.
Manolo Vergara pursued an acting career, debuting in the psychological drama White Rabbit. He featured as a DJ in the action comedy Hot Pursuit which featured his mother Sofia Vergara. He had a full-fledged role in the TV series Guilty Party, which ran for two seasons. He has also directed two short films and acts as an executive producer on the upcoming TV reality show Celebrity Family Cook Off.

Apart from starring in two films and a TV show, Manolo also has a business venture called Canini by Baguette, which is a brand that sells dog beds, clothes, and accessories. The actor also is a known cook and has posted many videos on his Instagram showing off his cooking skills. But his eyes still seem to be set on being an actor.
However, his mother Sofia Vergara does not seem to approve of his career in Hollywood and has reportedly told him to pursue something more lucrative. Manolo Vergara told Access Hollywood what his mother thought of his acting career,
“She kind of wishes I wasn’t in this business, like at all. She’s like, ‘It’s hard, why? Get a real job. Something stable’. She gives me a lot of advice. Sometimes I don’t ask for it, but she gives me a lot of advice.”
However, the Modern Family star may have come around to the idea of her son being an actor as they starred together in a series of ‘Head and Shoulders’ advertisements.
