Hugh Jackman is set to return as Logan/ Wolverine in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor had already retired from playing the character after 2017’s Logan and a rich history dating back to the first X-Men. However, he couldn’t resist being in a film with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and thus came back to the role for the film.
The trailer and the promotional stills have fans excited, and seeing Jackman back as his most iconic character is an absolute treat. With some pointing out the lack of his iconic cowl, a still of Jackman from the film has been edited by fans to their liking. One interesting fan edit features a complete costume change and hair, bearing a resemblance to the Dragon Ball character Vegeta.
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Gets a Dragon Ball Treatment With A Wild Fan Edit
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is finally in his classic yellow costume in Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans have been dying to see him donning the iconic costume, and the film will be ironically the first time he’s wearing it. Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Feige knew what they were going to do when Jackman decided to return, and him wearing this costume was the top of their list.
However, it is still not perfectly comic-accurate as fans have pointed out the lack of the character’s cowl. With that in mind, they are making their own edits on the costume and posting multiple fam-made looks of Jackman’s Wolverine. A new edited look at Jackman posted by MCU Film News resembling Vegeta from the Dragon Ball franchise has fans bawling their eyes out.
Jackman is seen wearing a manifestation of Vegeta’s classic costume/armor from the Dragon Ball series. His spiky hair is also applied to Jackman in the fan-made photo, and fans are having a field day with how amazing he looks in the edited photo. Here are some of the reactions on X,

With anticipation for Deadpool & Wolverine increasing as the release date nears, this fabulous fan-made picture will certainly add to the excitement among fans. The MCU needs a big hit, and the film will most likely deliver the much-needed glory back and restore audiences’ faith in the franchise.
Hugh Jackman’s Inclusion Radically Changed Deadpool & Wolverine‘s Script
While Ryan Reynolds was developing ideas for a third film in the Deadpool franchise, he did not expect Hugh Jackman to ring him and express interest in returning as Wolverine. This was a golden opportunity that Reynolds and director Shawn Levy couldn’t refuse, so the script of a third Deadpool film had a seismic shift once Jackman came into the picture.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Levy revealed that they were initially considering a third film that was very much a follow-up to the first two Deadpool films. Once Jackman joined in, the story completely changed and slowly became the film that we are currently getting. The director said,
“Everything changed radically on the day that Hugh called Ryan. We had been workshopping a lot of ideas about possible stories for a third Deadpool movie. Those were story ideas that were more sequelly to the first two Deadpools, but none of them imagined such a seismic shift. I can safely say that the story completely changed and, in fact, came to us very, very quickly starting that day.”
In addition to Jackman and Reynolds, the film also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Deadpool & Wolverine hits theatres worldwide on July 26, 2024.
