Jonathan Majors’ career seemed to be on a meteoric rise. After captivating audiences in projects like “Lovecraft Country” and the MCU’s “Loki,” he was poised to become a major Hollywood force. But that trajectory took a sudden hit in December when a jury found him guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment.
With potential jail time looming, many speculated that Majors’ days in the spotlight were over. However, a recent development suggests otherwise. Amidst legal uncertainty, Majors is found going through an intense workout routine, reportedly for a new role.
Is Jonathan Majors Really Working Out For a New Movie Role?
Jonathan Majors is reportedly diving headfirst into intense workouts to achieve a superhero-like physique. As per recent reports by TMZ, Jonathan Majors is “hitting the gym hard and training for a possible gig before flying back to New York”. It is being reported that the Loki actor is working hard in the gym and the only thing known of his potential role is that it requires an incredible shape.
TMZ’s sources state that Majors is aiming to get shredded into a superhero-ripped shape. While the actor is working hard on a potential project, his future is still shrouded in uncertainty given the current circumstances.
In March 2023, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In December 2023, the New York Jury convicted Majors on counts of assault and harassment. His sentencing was due on February 6, 2024, but was postponed after a number of motions were filed by Major’s attorney who are trying to get the conviction thrown out. The sentencing is currently set for April 8, and the future will only get clear from thereafter.
Marvel Renaming Avengers: Kang Dynasty After Jonathan Majors’ Incident
Marvel fired Jonathan Majors in December 2023 after the New York Jury found him guilty. Since then, fans have been confused about what direction Marvel would go for its Multiverse Saga. Majors was portraying the character of Kang the Conqueror and his variants, the big bad of Multiverse.
There have been reports that the MCU will leave behind the idea of Kang and replace him with some other worthy super-villain like Doctor Doom. Amidst the uncertainties, Marvel did take a decision and that is dropping the Kang name from Avengers 5.
As reported by The Direct, Disney has confirmed the name change for the film previously known as Avengers: Kang Dynasty. The House of Mouse is internally calling the movie just Avengers 5, which will eventually change to its new name when things get a bit clearer.
