The movie is said to be a suspense thriller depicting the origin story of Cassie Webb, played by Johnson. A recent clip from the movie has, however, brought the morals of the fans down as it showcases a badly edited scene.

Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson is all set to release on Wednesday and ahead of the release, a clip has been released showcasing Johnson’s character Cassie Webb getting her powers and it has not managed to impress the fans. Ardent fans of the Spider-Man universe who expressed their excitement for watching the movie are retracing their steps after the clip was released, noting that the editing of the movie looks nothing but bad. A user commented, ‘Why is this edited so poorly?’, with another writing ‘Wait! This is an actual clip from the movie? This isn’t a poorly edited trailer?’

An X user pointed out that the movie comes out in two days and they haven’t heard anything about it adding that they haven’t seen a second trailer for it which points out that the makers do not want anyone to watch the movie. But a hopeful viewer said that they are going to give them the benefit of the doubt that this clip is just an awkward fit the scene into a clip editing, and it’s shown properly in the movie.

One of the users wrote that it’s the first clip for a movie that is coming out this week. A section of people seemed excited to watch the movie, but at the same time, another section was not pleased with how there was no information or a second trailer for the movie along with badly edited scenes.

Dakota Johnson says Madame Web is ‘not your typical superhero’ movie

Ahead of the release of Madame Web, Dakota Johnson spoke to Collider, where she revealed the part of moviemaking that she was most looking forward to while filming Madame Web. She said,

“I was excited for the action in the movie because it’s not your typical superhero movie where there’s like insane fighting. It feels, for Cassie, a little bit more grounded and scrappy, so I was looking forward to that. And then the stunt driving, I was really excited about.”

Upon asking about her experience with working with cast members, especially Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced, Johnson shared,

“I loved how quickly they bonded with each other. It was really fun to have them on set, and just their youth and camaraderie, and they were fun and funny, and it was just nice to get to work with them. I was impressed with them all the time. They’re really professional. Yeah, every day, I just felt proud of them.”

Dakota Johnson, during the conversation, noted that Poor Things starring Emma Stone is an incredible film along with Past Lives, and they actually give her hope for a better tomorrow in the industry.

She says movies that she has recently been a part of are smaller, which means that when you don’t have to answer to the studio executives, you get to have a little bit more creative license and agency. She goes ahead to say that her movie Daddio was an important movie to her, adding that she does not know if artists can make what they want to as it is a hardcore battle now.
