Jonathan Majors will speak out for the very first time after the guilty verdict for being convicted of assaulting his (at that time) girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
The Marvel actor sat down with ABC News anchor Linsey Davis. This interview will air on Monday on the network’s flagship Morning show, with additional segments expected to run on GMA3: What You Need To Know. Then, an extended version of the interview will stream on Davis’ ABC News Live program Prime the same day.
And on Jan. 11, IMPACT x Nightline will have a half-hour special streaming exclusively on Hulu. That special will feature unaired segments from the interview.
Jonathan Majors Faces Major Backlash For Featuring in Good Morning America Interview
Jonathan Majors’ interview is coming nearly a month after Disney cut ties with him. It’s worth noting that both ABC News and Hulu are owned by the studio. The actor was previously set to play the big bad in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027), but his legal issues threw a spanner in the works.
Not only did his Hollywood career get stained, but even his reputation among fans has also been botched up. When fans got to know that Majors is set to speak up in an interview, they went against it. Check out some fans’ reactions:
Why would you give this dude a platform after he was convicted? Holy shit
— El CapOhtani (@CaptMorganDFS) January 4, 2024
Why? Your career is over. There is no coming back. 🤡

Why do famous people have to be on national television when they go to court? Seems unfair

I think we can all agree he does not deserve this kind of platform after what he did.

Terrible idea. He just has to give people time to forget a little bit, then come back in about 2 years.

The Creed III actor has to be behind bars for up to a year due to convictions. This also resulted in potentially ruining his well-established Hollywood career and a chance of winning an Oscar for his unreleased film Magazine Dreams.
Disney paused the film in light of the allegations, which centered around a troubled bodybuilder. This leaves the entertainment giant to decide whether to stand by Majors or scrub the project.
Jonathan Majors Also Faces Mixed Verdict and Uncertain Future
After two weeks of intense courtroom testimony in Manhattan, Jonathan Majors received a guilty verdict. In this, the star was acquitted of two charges – intentional assault (third-degree) and aggravated harassment (second-degree).

Scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 6, Majors could face up to a year in jail for third-degree assault (carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail) and second-degree harassment (up to 15 days in jail). Though the chances are, he’ll likely receive probation, counseling, or a fine instead of the maximum sentence.
