Everyone knows the story of the Hollywood power couple title that both Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith used to enjoy back in the day when they had just gotten together and the media was all over their relationship. But when it comes to the time before they got together, both of them had been in some serious relationships with others.
While his wife Jada Pinkett Smith was famously linked with legendary rapper and hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur, Will Smith was also in a committed relationship with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino, with whom he had his first son Trey Smith. But when it came to how the couple finally got together had to do with the question that the actor’s ex-wife asked him before their divorce.
Sheree Zampino’s Question That Led To Her And Will Smith’s Divorce
While their famous, or infamous marriage may be known around the world, the relationships that both Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith had before they got married were very interesting. While Pinkett Smith was popular for allegedly dating none other than the Late Tupac Shakur himself, Will Smith was married to Sheree Zampino. From 1992 to 1995, both Zampino and Smith enjoyed a happy relationship, until one day, their fate was sealed when Zampino presented him with a brutal question.

In a past episode of Pinkett Smith’s talk show Red Table Talk, the actress, along with the I Am Legend star were having a conversation about their relationship and what led to them marrying each other. The star said that when he met her for the first time, he instantly knew that she was the one for him, but in the race to pursue her, he ended up marrying Zampino. He also revealed that despite being in matrimony with her, he always knew he wanted to be with the Queen Cleopatra star, which even his ex-wife could feel. This led her to file for divorce by asking a simple question:
“So, you are going to make somebody stay with you who doesn’t love you?”
Smith had made his intentions clear that he did not want to divorce Zampino in the future, but when she asked this question, it put things into perspective for him, which led to their divorce in 1995.

Where Are They Now?
After their divorce in 1995, both the stars went their separate ways, but are still good friends with each other to this day. While Smith married Pinkett Smith, with whom he has two kids- Willow and Jaden Smith, Zampiono married Terrell Fletcher, the former running back for the San Diego Chargers in the NFL in 2007.
But in 2015, the relationship of the latter couple came to an end after they got divorced, and there have been no reports suggesting that either Zampino or Fletcher have gotten into a serious relationship since.
