Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was already a massively successful series that brought Will Smith fame beyond compare. The spin-off series Bel-Air also received a lot of praise. Unlike a lot of spin-off series and reboots that were criticized a lot and did not do as well, the series had two seasons of highly successful episodes and the season finale approaches in the April of 2023.
Fans of the series will be more than happy to know that this will not be the last of what the series will be offering. A third season has already been greenlit by Peacock. It has been renewed for another season just as the second season is nearing its end. The audience received the series very positively and cannot wait for more of what there is.
Bel-Air Will Be Coming Back For Another Season
After the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spin-off was loved by critics and fans alike, the series has been renewed for a third season by Peacock. The series has been renewed for the first time ever since it was first picked up. It was initially adapted for two seasons and stars Jabari Banks as Will. The series revolves around Will moving in with his aunt and uncle in a lavish area.
Tatyana Ali even appeared in the series as a recurring guest character in the second season. She played Ashley Banks in the original series. The reboot series is inspired by a reimagined version of the original series and was extremely successful. The cast, apart from Jabari Banks includes Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones.
Bel-Air Was The Biggest Hit For Peacock
When Bel-Air was first released on Peacock, it very quickly became the most-watched original premiere. It is also one of the biggest series the streaming service holds and the second season’s success has only helped it more in the process.
Will Smith‘s original sitcom was famous for various aspects and to see the reimagined version of the series also being just as successful gives it more of a reason to be renewed for another season. As of now, there is no news of when the third season will begin filming. However, fans will be looking forward to what the show has to offer to them now.
This is further refreshing as Will Smith is set to make his return to the Hollywood industry with Bad Boys 4. After his controversy at the Oscars, his career seemed on the down low. Although now he seems to be getting one win after another.
The season finale of Bel-Air will air on 27th April 2023 on Peacock.
