The Man of Steel, Henry Cavill is no more a part of the DC Universe, and it has been offered to a new actor in the town David Corenswet. While there were speculations a bit after the fans got to watch a cameo of Henry Cavill as Superman in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adams, the hope got axed out by the new boss of DC Universe James Gunn.

Rumors had that the DC star might revive his role as a superhero but not with DC, their arch-rival MCU. While James Gunn’s Superman Legacy is currently in production and might be released sometime in 2025, Marvel fans are excited to see Henry Cavill as their very own Captain Britain. There has been a buzz among the fans that he might revive the role of Brian Braddock A.K.A. Captain Britain in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.

The world has witnessed before how good of a superhero Henry Cavill is, it’s not easy to pull off a character like Superman on screen, but the 40-year-old British actor did it flawlessly. One thing is for sure he is destined to play the role of superhero, and fans clearly want more of him, however, this time as Captain Britain.

After he stepped down from The Witcher as Geralt of Rivia, the British actor has been linked with many superhero roles, most of them from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Henry Cavill is in talks with Marvel to join the MCU one of his fans has imagined him as Captain Britain and did post it on Instagram

There is no denying the fact that The Superman actor looks stunning in the fan art and fans would love to see him as Brian Braddock. Captain Britain first appeared in 1976 and currently, the 40-year-old British actor is the popular choice to revive that role. He has also been linked to playing the character of James Bond and if it gets a positive the ex-Superman might make his fans awestruck.

What Henry Cavill had to say about his role as Captain Britain.

After the role of Superman went to David Corenswet, the 40-year-old British actor might revive his superhero role in the costume of Captain Britain. It would start a new chapter in his life, and he has shown enthusiasm about being a Marvel hero. In an Interview with TheHollywoodReporter when he was asked about his take on being a Marvel superhero he said. 

“I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.”

The introduction of Brian Baddock would change the course of the narrative for Marvel’s Multiverse and this move is completely in favor of the trajectory Marvel is moving in.

The British actor might get to play the role of Captain Britain in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. However, if it happens, it would be a delight for his fans to watch him again as a superhero with a star-packed cast and in a bigger universe.
