Ever since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, fans have been eagerly waiting to see a Call of Duty game feature in the Xbox Game Pass. Last year, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer revealed that Activision Blizzard games will not be released on the Game Pass until 2024. However, it is already February and there are no signs of a Call of Duty game.
Nonetheless, another special game has been added to the Xbox Game Pass recently that will keep the fans content for now: Resident Evil 3. A 2020 remake of the original 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the game is arguably one of the best survival horror games of all time. Four more popular video games are expected to hit the Xbox Game Pass later this month.
Resident Evil 3 is now available on Xbox Game Pass
As per GameRant, Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 is now officially available on Xbox Game Pass. The game, which is a remake of 1999’s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, was praised for its narrative, tense atmosphere, and graphics at the time of its release. The game was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in April 2020 and was released again for Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in June 2022. Later that year, a Nintendo Switch cloud version was also released.
Resident Evil 3 has received many prestigious awards and nominations and is widely labeled as one of the best in its genre. The game has a Metacritic Metascore of 84/100 for XONE, while 79/100 for PS4 and 77/100 for PC. This release would certainly attract a lot of gamers but Xbox Game Pass is still missing one thing: a Call of Duty game.
