At the end of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness it was clearly shown that the young mighty superhero was getting trained in magic to channel her inborn powers at the same school i.e, Kamar-Taj, which trained Doctor Strange. It makes sense to see Wong who is the Sorcerer’s Supreme accompany America Chavez in her journey to master her skills. Wong, played by Benedict Wong, was loved by fans for his frequent appearances and remarkable performance in phase 4 of MCU, most recently in the television series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. When two of the fan-favorite characters who are still left with decent character development will come together on screen, the very idea seems delightful to marvel fans.

Michael Waldron, the lead writer of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness in an interview shared the plans for America Chavez in the MCU storyline.

“Yeah, that’s definitely me collaborating with Marvel and with Sam. Really, that is as much about trying to drive America’s story in this film, as it is attempting to set up a mystery to be solved in the future. She’s somebody without a family. That’s what she’s searching for. And that’s what she finds—surprisingly—in our Doctor Strange and Wong. She finds a home in Kamar-Taj at the end. When it’s all said and done, it looks kind of tidy. We also set up the next chapter in the America Chavez story.”

What to expect from America Chavez and Wong?

The fans can expect Wong to train America Chavez along with the character development of the latter. Waldron’s remarks hint that the mystery of America’s mothers who were separated from her in the movie when America accidentally opens a portal to send them to an unknown world can be solved in America’s solo outing.

“Getting into the real specificity of her with her parents came a little bit later in the process. It felt, at least to me initially, that maybe we should hold some of that back. It felt like the sort of stuff you’d rather answer when you’re getting into America’s solo outing. But as we continued to build the story, we found that we wanted to know more about her. And, really, Strange would want to know more about her. It was just honest to their relationship and conversations.”

As per the rumors, the story is most likely to revolve around the Marvel comic Strange Academy. The show will most likely be streamed on Disney+, similar to other MCU movies. America’s storyline may set the precursor for Young Avengers from the Marvel comics. The fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement for the same while rooting for America Chavez and Wong.
