With the Marvel Cinematic Universe going deep into the Multiverse, there is a very likely possibility that a World War Hulk movie starring Mark Ruffalo will be made. With a plethora of characters that could return to the movie, the scope of such a potential film is unlimited.
With the possibility of a range of Hulks fighting it out on a planet-size battlefield, there are several characters that could be seen fighting on both sides. Here are 5 powerful Marvel characters that could appear or return to the MCU to kill the big guys!
1) Sentry
Sentry hasn’t made his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but this could be the best time for the character to appear. Sentry is the Marvel equivalent of Superman. A soldier enhanced with the superhuman serum gone wrong, Sentry is one of the mightiest heroes in Marvel Comics.
With the ability to fly. fight, and superhuman strength, Sentry could be the perfect addition to the chaotic world of Hulks. With hundreds and thousands of Hulks fighting, Sentry can essentially become a one-hero-army!
2) Hulk’s Best Friend, Thor
Fans of the MCU and Marvel Comics know the adventures of Thor and Hulk. With the events of Thor: Ragnarok at hand, people could easily see the chemistry between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner.
If the comics are to be followed, Thor has become quite powerful. He can put his powers to good use in World War Hulk and it would also serve as a bridge between Thor 5 and Thor: Love and Thunder.
3) Black Bolt
People may remember Black Bolt from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The one that Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch killed quite easily. Well, the character of Black Bolt is not as easy to beat as shown in the movie.
According to Marvel Comics, one whisper from Bolt could eradicate cities into dust. Being such a powerful force, it would be quite awesome to see Black Bolt fighting against the Hulks and blasting the world around them.
4) Mr. Fantastic
The main man himself, Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic is the captain of the Fantastic Four. With an upcoming reboot of the movie in the mix, this would prove to be the perfect time to include Mr. Fantastic in the MCU.
The character was already shown once in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and fans loved John Krasinski in the role. Well, if the MCU wishes to make fans happy, John Krasinski reprising the role of Mr. Fantastic in World War Hulk is the way!
5) Iron Man Against World War Hulk!
Robert Downey Jr. is probably an actor who is more famous than the role in the MCU that he plays. With how his character died in Avengers: Endgame back in 2019, World War Hulk could be the perfect movie to bring back Downey Jr.’s Iron Man but from an alternate universe!
It would be a breath of fresh air to see Downey Jr. donning the suit of Iron Man once again. Being one of the strongest Avengers out there, the character could be of significant importance when it comes to fighting Hulk.
Although nothing can be confirmed or denied yet, the events of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have pretty much set up a storyline for World War Hulk. Still, whether the project sees the light of day entirely depends on how far the MCU is willing to go, and how much the franchise is willing to do for its fans.
