Xbox brings new games every weekend that are available to Xbox players and Game Pass Core and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play for free for a few days as part of Free Play days. If players like the game, they can purchase it and continue playing after the free-play period ends.
Last week, four free games were added, including Dragon Ball FighterZ and two South Park games. The free games of this week have been revealed and include one game that did not do well upon initial release but redeemed itself soon with several updates, making it one of the best titles in 2023.
Cyberpunk 2077 is Currently Free to Play with Xbox Free Play Days
Xbox has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for free to players on the platform starting from 8 a.m. PT today until 11:59 p.m. PT on March 31. Players will be able to enjoy five hours of base game for free, and they do not need a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Cyberpunk 2077 had a disastrous launch, but developer CD Projekt Red did not give up on it. The game received several patches, bug fixes, optimization, and improvements in various aspects, including the NCPD response, vehicle mechanics, and the skill tree. The developer also brought visual improvements to the game, which made the in-game world more fun.
Wake up, Samurai – all Xbox members can enjoy a free trial of Cyberpunk 2077 from 8am PT today until 11:59 PT March 31.

The weapon mechanics were also improved, the cyberware was reworked, and a new fast travel option was added. The developers also brought the Phantom Liberty expansion to the already massive game, which has captivated players more.
The expansion added a new spy-thriller story featuring Idris Elba and a new area called Downtown. Some new weapons, vehicular combat, and other items were also added, which makes Cyberpunk 2077 a steal for players looking to play something this week.
Another AAA Title Is Available With Free Play Days
Along with Cyberpunk 2077, Xbox Free Play Days has also added Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Mirage is free for all players to play, but only for two hours, and players will need to purchase the game if they like it and want to play further. Two hours is very little time, but given how new the title is, Ubisoft is being generous with the two-hour trial.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has received mostly positive reviews and currently has a score of 76 on Metacritic. The game has been praised for staying true to the roots of the franchise and its focus on stealth, and this is a game any stealth or Assassin’s Creed fan should not miss. Two other games are also available with free play days: Black Desert and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker.
Both of these games are free to play until the end of the free play period and have no time limit. Players can play as long as they want, but they need to have subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate.
